The Autumn Mile: The Roads Brought Us Together

The Autumn Mile · October 24, 2026 · A moment together on the road.
There are rides you remember because of the roads, and then there are rides you remember because of the people you shared them with. The Autumn Mile gave us both.
Saturday morning started with a chill in the air. The kind of morning that makes you wonder whether you brought enough layers. But as the bikes started pulling in and familiar faces began greeting one another, the morning started feeling a little warmer.
Different roads, one community
What made this ride especially meaningful was seeing our community continue to grow. We welcomed new riders from Brooklyn and South Jersey, along with friends who had already shared a few miles with us. Different motorcycles, different backgrounds, different places we call home — all coming together for the love of riding and the chance to share the road.
As we traveled through northern New Jersey, the morning chill gave way to sunshine. The fall colors were beautiful, and every winding stretch of road and reservoir view reminded us why we get up early, put on our gear, and head out together.
Moments worth remembering
Before heading up to High Point, we stopped beside the water for a group photo. Everyone gathered around our Next Mile Moto banner, with the beautiful fall colors behind us. Looking at that picture afterward made me smile. When we started Next Mile Moto, we hoped to bring riders together. Seeing everyone in that one photo reminds us that it's becoming something much more meaningful.
From there, we headed up to High Point Veterans Monument. With the sky so clear, the views seemed to stretch forever. As incredible as the scenery was, what stayed with me most was seeing everyone take that moment in together.
A change of plans, and another memory
Of course, no adventure is complete without a little improvisation. Our original lunch spot couldn't accommodate all of us, so we walked across the street to Trackside Grill & Bar in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. We found a place to eat, relaxed, and shared stories about the day. Sometimes the unexpected moments become part of the best memories.
We had a few navigation hiccups along the way, with The PACK app and Google Maps sometimes suggesting different directions. That's something we'll work on before the next ride. But The PACK also proved really useful when turns or traffic separated us: we could see where the other riders were and how far apart we had become. That little bit of visibility made it much easier to keep track of one another. It's a great feature, and one we'll keep learning how to use better as a group.
The people who made the miles matter
I want to take a moment to thank everyone who joined us: Daniel, Rui, Ariel, Carla, Marlon, Donnie, Alberto, Green, Christian, Hunter, Robert, Guy and Judith, Eli, Cynthia, Humberto, and Nelson. And to those whose names I didn't get a chance to learn or may have missed, please know you're just as much a part of this day. I promise to make a better effort to remember everyone's name, because getting to know the people behind the helmets is just as important as sharing the road with them.
A special thank-you to Alberto and Donnie for your help and everything you contributed to the ride. I truly appreciate you both.
Whether this was your first ride with us or you've already shared several miles alongside us, I hope you enjoyed the day as much as I did. Maybe you made a new friend, had a great conversation, found a favorite stretch of road, or simply had a moment to forget everything else and enjoy the view.
When we started Next Mile Moto, we wanted to create something more than just another motorcycle riding group. We wanted a place where people could come together, build friendships, share experiences, and feel welcome regardless of what they rode or where they came from. Days like Saturday remind us why we started.
The miles matter. The destinations are beautiful. But it's the people who give those miles meaning.
Thank you all for being part of this journey, and for helping make Next Mile Moto what it's becoming.
Until the next ride. Where to Next?
